This position will primarily be responsible for providing histology core services for the analysis of stem cell derived tissues. The ideal candidate will possess a BS/MS and 2-5 yrs laboratory experience. The candidate must have experience in one or more of the following areas: cell culture, frozen and wax tissue sectioning, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy. Industrial experience is a plus. The successful candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills, proficient computer skills for recording and managing data, and a willingness to learn and perform new techniques

Novocell, Inc., is a leading biotech stem cell engineering company, engaged in transformational stem cell research with the goal of developing cell therapies to treat chronic diseases. Our initial emphasis is on the generation of pancreatic cells for the treatment of diabetes. We are seeking a Research Associate I/II or Senior Research Associate to join one of our teams currently focused on transplantation in animal models of diabetes.

This position will be responsible for in vivo research and development of our stem cell product. Candidates applying for the position must have a BS/MS with 1 – 5+ years of work experience. The level of appointment will be based on education and years of experience. The candidate must have experience working with laboratory animals, as the individual will be required to work with mice or rats preferably in immunocompromised/SPF settings. The candidate should have a working knowledge of blood collection techniques, IP, IV, or SC injections, and or surgery preparation/anesthesia. Experience in any of the following additional areas is advantageous: tissue culture, ELISA, histology, tissue sectioning, or immunohistochemistry.
